This issue was released to help the cost of the third Philatelic Exhibition in Zagreb which was originally scheduled to take place from 5-12 September, 1943. However, due to the events surrounding the Italian surrender, it was moved to 12-15 September, 1943.
It is very interesting that this stamp was proclaimed as the most beautiful stamp issued in Europe in 1943.

Sheets
Stamps were printed in sheets of 40 stamps with hardly wisible I and II plate numbers.

Perforations
There are stamps imperforated at the bottom and also vertical double perforations.
Imperforated stamps also exist (from the minister album).

This stamp also has a graver’s mark ‘S’ (22. position in the sheet).

Color proofs
Five color proofs exist and they are all from a Minister album.





FDC
FDC was issued in a quantity of 10.000 with a machine cancel 12.09.1943.
Other versions:
- with both machine and hand cancel
- with Seizinger autograph
- with Kirin and Seizinger autograph
There is also FDC with a hand cancel with date 15.09.1943. coming from the Minister albums.

In the Minister albums was also MC with Seizinger and Kirin autograph.

Block
On the same date block was also issued. Mi 116 Block 6.

Block graver’s mark
Same as the issued stamp Mi 115, stamp Mi 116 in the block also has a graver’s mark ‘S’, but this one placed in the different place on the stamp. Every fifth block has a graver’s mark.

Some blocks have moved perforations.
Minister albums
Imperforated block and 5 imperforated color proofs coming from a Minister album.. In Minister album are also imperforated blocks on a Japanese thick paper and also blocks with a 14 ½ perforation. Except from a color proofs from a Minister albums lots of different graver proofs exist also unfinished trial prints, some of them with a prepared different value of 12+9 kn but all of this proofs are very rare.
