This was originally a Yugoslavian stamp set prepared to be issued for the Philatelic Exhibition in Slavonski Brod that was scheduled for 13-20.04.1941.
All printed 80.000 sets were sent to Zagreb, and from that quantity 56.000 sets were overprinted with the name of the new country (Mi 39-40). The rest was sold at the Zagreb Post offices or distributed through Croatian philatelic offices and dealers.
This issue can be recognized as Croatian stamps issue because those stamps were put to use by the authority of the new NDH government, and sold only on the Croatian territory.
Stamps were issued in sheets of 16 stamps + 9 pendants.

Graver’s marks
Stamp of 1,50 din has a graver’s signature ‘S’ – it is placed on a plate position 9.
