The NDH catalogue project

My name is Hrvoje Horvat and I am a long time philatelist.

My passion for philately began in childhood, and for the past decade, I have been actively engaged in the global stamp market. While my expertise spans several historical periods, my primary focus and specialization lie in the postage stamps of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH).

The vision behind the catalog

Through years of collecting and trading, I recognized a significant gap in the available literature: the lack of a comprehensive, all-in-one catalog dedicated to NDH issues. Collectors often struggle to find a single source that covers every nuance of a series.

This project was born out of a desire to create a definitive guide that includes:

  • Complete NDH Issues: A thorough overview of every release.
  • Technical Rarities: Detailed documentation of color proofs and trials.
  • Philatelic Variations: Precise data on perforations and paper types.
  • Specialized Insights: Everything a collector needs to know to understand the full scope of a specific series.

For beginners and experts alike

Whether you are just starting your philatelic journey or are a seasoned expert looking for obscure details, this catalog is designed for you. My goal is to provide a clear, visual, and highly detailed roadmap that showcases exactly what can be collected within this fascinating area of history.

A Growing Resource: Work in Progress

While this catalog already features a comprehensive list of all series, it is currently a work in progress. I am actively uploading high-resolution images and drafting detailed historical texts for each entry.

I believe that perfection shouldn’t be the enemy of progress. If I waited until every single detail was finalized, this project might never have seen the light of day. I chose to launch now so that the philatelic community can begin benefiting from the information immediately.

Be sure to visit often! I am constantly adding fresh data, rare images, and expert insights. Thank you for joining me on this journey to document NDH philately in its entirety.
